Ministries

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your house, to clothe the naked when you see him, and to not ignore your own flesh?

— Isaiah 58:7

Self-Serve Outdoor Pantry.

On the corner of Fir and Thirtieth Streets stands our outdoor mini-pantry that you are welcome to contribute to or take from, as you need. This is one way we can engage with our neighbors, helping those in need, and sharing with one another. As the pandemic continues, one in six Americans suffers from food insecurity. Thank you for loving your neighbor through your contributions.

San Diego Rescue Mission.

The Christ United Presbyterian Church leads worship at the San Diego Rescue Mission about every quarter.  A team goes there to provide worship.  Some members participate in the Rescue Mission’s mentorship program.  The San Diego Rescue Mission lovingly addresses the needs of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness by sharing the Good News of Salvation and providing a holistic approach to rehabilitation and recovery.
